Are you looking to broaden your tax expertise while working on complex matters that combine strategic advice, transactions and litigation?

Our Tax team is looking for a lawyer with two to six years of experience who is ready to take on meaningful responsibility, work directly with Belgian and international clients and further develop within an ambitious and collaborative practice.

Join our Tax practice

Liedekerke’s Tax practice advises Belgian and international clients on the full spectrum of tax matters. Our work ranges from domestic and cross-border transactions, reorganisations and financing structures to audits, investigations and litigation before Belgian and European courts.

We also assist entrepreneurs, high-net-worth individuals and families with estate and inheritance planning.

Because our practice combines advisory, transactional and contentious work, you will gain broad exposure while having the opportunity to deepen your expertise in the areas that interest you most.

What you will do

As part of our Tax team, you will:

  • advise Belgian and international clients on complex tax matters;
  • work on domestic and cross-border transactions, including M&A, restructurings, financing, private equity, funds and real estate;
  • assist clients during tax audits, investigations, dawn raids and settlement negotiations;
  • contribute to administrative proceedings and tax litigation before Belgian and European courts;
  • collaborate closely with colleagues from other practice areas and jurisdictions;
  • build trusted relationships with clients through practical and commercially relevant advice; and
  • contribute to the continued development of our Tax practice.

From the outset, you will work closely with partners and experienced team members while gradually taking on greater responsibility and direct client contact.

What you can expect from us

At Liedekerke, we are committed to your long-term development. You can expect:

  • varied and intellectually challenging work with a strong Belgian and international dimension;
  • a combination of advisory, transactional and contentious tax matters;
  • direct client exposure and meaningful responsibility;
  • close collaboration within a supportive and accessible team;
  • a structured learning path with tailored legal and non-legal training;
  • support for continued legal education and further specialisation;
  • opportunities to contribute to business development and the strategic growth of the practice;
  • a multilingual and inclusive working environment; and
  • an attractive compensation and benefits package.

What you bring

You:

  • have two to six years of relevant experience in tax law;
  • are fluent in French and English and have a good command of Dutch;
  • hold a Belgian law degree with a strong academic record;
  • have solid analytical and drafting skills;
  • are able to translate complex tax questions into clear and practical advice;
  • enjoy working collaboratively and taking ownership of your matters; and
  • are curious, client-focused and eager to continue learning.

An additional qualification in tax law, an interest in real estate taxation or study or professional experience in an Anglo-Saxon jurisdiction would be an asset, but is not essential.
